You can now cross the border with “Dієyu”: which country accepts digital documents

Ukrainians are forced to leave Ukraine en masse because of the war started by the Russian Federation. Quite a few queues gathered at the border with neighboring countries, one of their reasons lengthy verification of documents both on one side of the border and on the other.

Now the Republic of Moldova, when accepting refugees from Ukraine, will accept digital documents. This is reported by the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine.

Until April 24, Moldova declared a period of emergency. In this regard, in order for Ukrainians to be able to freely enter the country, in Moldova will accept documents generated in the “Diya” application.

What documents are available in “Dії” now

Now the application can generate several documents:

  • temporary digital document for the period of martial law “єDocument”;
  • international COVID-certificate.

The rest of the documents in “Дії” cannot yet be generated during martial law. The Ministry of Digital Development promises as soon as the situation stabilizes, the registries will resume work and the application will resume the ability to generate documents.

It is easier for Ukrainians to travel abroad

Now for certain categories of people with disabilities and their accompanying persons fewer documents to cross the border of Ukraine for the purpose of evacuation.

Segodnya already wrote that now people with disabilities of groups I and II, regardless of age, can cross the state border with only one of these documents:

  • certificate to the act of inspection by the medical and social expert commission;
  • a certificate confirming the appropriate status, a pension certificate or a certificate confirming the appointment of social assistance in accordance with the laws of Ukraine “On State Social Assistance to Persons with Disabilities from Childhood and Children with Disabilities”, “On State Social Assistance to Persons Not Eligible for a Pension, and persons with disabilities”;
  • certificate for benefits for persons with disabilities who are not eligible for pension or social assistance.

In addition, “Segodnya” talked about the introduction of a temporary “jDocument” in the “Diya” application for the period of martial law and about what evacuation flights “Ukrzaliznytsia” carries out on March 13.
