(ANSA) – CAGLIARI, MARCH 13 – Everything is ready for the protest on the roads against expensive fuel. Which is added to that of the sea and the countryside. Tomorrow, after the demonstrations of the shepherds on Saturday against the increase in agricultural diesel prices, it is the turn of the trucks and hauliers. Heavy vehicles will still find themselves in front of ports and industrial areas from dawn and to the bitter end: until answers or solutions arrive from Cagliari or above all from Rome.

In a separate mobilization, but with the same cause, the expensive diesel, the trawlers of the Porto Torres navy will also be involved: against the increases that make it impossible to reckon, tomorrow morning they will remain stationary, anchored to the quay of the pier Signs.

The hauliers will go on with the strike despite the no from the guarantee commission. Which however – as some referents of the spontaneous movement explain – concerns a national demonstration of a trade union acronym (Trasportiunito). And they, under the banner of “we are free to arrange our vehicles where we want” will leave with the protest. They have already requested the authorizations from the Police Headquarters that they have placed, but some stakes to respect. The truck drivers will be in Cagliari at the historic port (goods entrance) and in the industrial port of Macchiareddu. But garrisons are also planned in front of the industrial areas of Samatzai, Monastir, Villacidro and perhaps even in front of Saras.

Protests also at the port of Oristano. And then trucks also in Porto Torres, Asi pier, in Olbia, Isola Bianca, in Nuoro Pratosardo and in the industrial area of Tossilo-Macomer. The protest will start at dawn and it will be a long day. Also because the first hope of returning home is expected only the next day when the hauliers will know the results of the technical table on the dispute. The answers, however, warn drivers and lorry drivers “must be done, not words: excise duty cuts and lower diesel prices taking into account the average of the last three or four years”. It will not be just a protest just by the men of the road transport sector. Among the promoters also women of the sector: above all business owners. Tomorrow they will be on the street too.
