Prada: 3.3 billion revenues in 2021 (+ 41%), even exceeded 2019

Net revenues of the Prada group in 2021 grew double-digit, reaching 3.366 billion euros (+ 41% on 2020 and + 8% on 2019). Compared to 2019, in the second half of 2021 they increased by 16%. Retail sales are up 40% on 2020 and 15% on 2019, and 24% in the fourth quarter compared to 2019. Wholesale sales rose 41% on 2020, but fell 29% on 2019. The gross margin was 75.7% and reached 76.8% in the second half, the Ebit at 489 million, the group net result at 294 million, equal to 8.8% of revenues.
The Board of Directors resolved to propose to the shareholders’ meeting to distribute a dividend of 7 cents per share, for a total of 179 million.
Recalling the closure of retail in Russia, from March 5, the group explained that the business in this country does not have a significant impact on the accounts. “For the Prada group, the first months of 2022 were very promising – said the CEO, Patrizio Bertelli – These results – he explained – consolidate our confidence in reaching the medium-term targets, although at the moment it remains difficult to evaluate the implications on the global economy of the conflict in Ukraine “.
