Retail chains of filling stations in Ukraine significantly reduced the prices for gasoline and diesel fuel on March 19.
This is reported by the consulting group “A-95” based on the results of operational monitoring.
It is noted that at WOG and OKKO gas stations, A-95 and A-92 gasolines fell in price by 9.68-10.10 UAH/l to 33.32-33.42 UAH/l, while prices for diesel fuel fell by 7.85 UAH/l – up to 37.05 UAH/l.
Gas stations of the network of the Privat group, which includes gas stations Avias, ANP, Ukrnafta and others, have reduced prices for gasoline and diesel fuel by 5–7 UAH/l.
Cheaper fuel prices at AMIC, Shell, BRSM-Oil, Chipo, Motto, BVS, UPG and other gas stations by 2–11 UAH/l.
Why is gasoline cheaper?
A serious reduction in fuel prices was announced by Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Economy Yulia Sviridenko on Friday, March 18.
According to her, on this day, gas stations were supposed to reduce fuel prices, since the government took certain steps for this, in particular:
- reduction of the VAT rate from 20% to 7%;
- permission to sell fuel Euro 3 and Euro 4, the quality of which is slightly lower than previously permitted types.
Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal stressed that the government will closely monitor the situation at gas stations.
