Two other Airbuses, an A319 and an A330, from Ita Airways, with the new blue livery named after two champions who made the history of Italian sport respectively in tennis, Adriano Panatta, and in football, Paolo Maldini, joined the fleet of company. The dedication is part of the Ita Airways “Naming Azzurri” initiative (survey aimed at users of the main social networks, where they were asked to nominate the names of the blue champions who are not in business to name the planes with the new livery).
The first aircraft to enter the fleet with blue livery was the Airbus A320 dedicated to the champion Paolo Rossi, operational since December 24, 2021. From the beginning of 2022, two A319s dedicated to Pietro Mennea and Gino Bartali and an A320 dedicated to Fausto Coppi. These were the 4 names chosen by the company. On 24 January 2022 the ball then passed to the followers of Ita Airways who had the pleasure of nominating their blue champions.
