Green light from the Commissions to the bill decree

Government-Unions, Orlando:

The Environment and Productive Activities Committees of the Chamber have given the green light to the bill converting the bill decree. The provision is expected in the courtroom at Montecitorio on Monday. The measures allocated by the decree amounted to almost 8 billion, of which about 5.5 to meet the high energy costs with measures such as the cancellation of system charges for domestic users for the second quarter and the strengthening of the social bonus. The remainder goes to support the production chains most in difficulty at this stage. Liberalizations are also envisaged for renewables and an increase in national gas production.

The Gse energy services operator will buy energy from renewable plants with long-term withdrawal and sale contracts, equal to at least three years, and will allocate it with preferential prices in priority to energy-intensive industrial customers, small and medium-sized enterprises and customers located in Sicily and Sardinia. The Energy release amendment to the bill decree approved by the Environment and Productive Activities Committees of the Chamber provides for this.

The amendment has “the aim of guaranteeing full integration and medium-term remuneration of investments in renewable sources in the electricity market” and of “passing on the benefits of this integration to consumers”.
