Twitter stated that users can now tip their favorite social network authors using bitcoins.

Writes about this CNBC.

Back in May, the company introduced tip as a test feature. This experiment will help creators make money from their followers for the content they post to Twitter.

Twitter in-house product manager Esther Crawford announced that the cryptocurrency donation feature is now available to all iOS users. The cryptocurrency option will allow users to link their Cash App, Patreon, Venmo, Chipper, Bandcamp, Razorpay, GoFundMe, PicPay and Wealthsimple Cash with their Twitter accounts and individual tweets to receive funds.

Previously, users could tip in regular currency using more traditional payment services such as Square’s Cash app and PayPal’s Venmo. The company will also allow users to add their bitcoin addresses to send and receive cryptocurrency hints.

But Twitter doesn’t take some of the money sent through the Tips feature. Twitter said it is also experimenting with a feature that will allow users to check out and showcase their collections of NFT digital assets on a social network. But the company did not provide details on this matter.
