In Ukraine, oblenergo specialists resumed fixing the readings of electricity meters, which had not been carried out since the beginning of the war.

This was reported by the press service of DTEK Kyiv Regional Electric Grids.

It is noted that in the Kiev region, work has resumed from 18 April. The press service said that since the beginning of the war, many residents were forced to leave their homes and, accordingly, could not transmit meter readings. Because of this, the company had to accrue consumption to them, based on the monthly average. These calculations are not the most correct, especially now.

Therefore, from April 18, DTEK specialists again began taking control meter readings from their customers in order to correctly calculate the amount of energy consumed and the amount to be paid.

After that, clients correct the datawhich were derived by calculation.

Who can be exempted from paying utility bills

The Verkhovna Rada is considering a bill that exempts those who have lost their homes as a result of hostilities or those whose homes are badly damaged and uninhabitable from paying utility bills.

Of course martial law does not exempt citizens from paying utility billshowever, prohibits the calculation of fines and penalties for late repayment of the specified amounts.
