Who can receive compensation if the owner of the home dies

Therefore, Bill 7198 states that if the owner died, compensation can be received by his heirs.

If there is no will, then inheritance takes place according to the standard procedure in accordance with the law. That is, the heirs receive the right to inherit in turn:

  • in the third place – the uncle and aunt of the testator;
  • in the fourth – persons who lived with the testator in the same family for at least five years before the opening of the inheritance;
  • fifth – other relatives of the testator up to the sixth degree of kinship inclusive, and relatives of a closer degree of kinship remove from the right of inheritance of relatives of a further degree of kinship.

What else does the bill suggest?

The owner of a destroyed house can receive money in two ways:

  • transfer to a special account;
  • as payment for the construction (restoration) of damaged property.
