Icop: wins 27 million Paris subway contract

(ANSA) – UDINE, APRIL 28 – The construction company Icop of Basiliano (Udine) has been awarded a contract worth 27 million for the Paris metro. As announced by the Societe du Grand Paris (SGP), this is the assignment of the third lot for the construction works of the new Line 18. An order won by the group of companies composed of Spie Batignolles Genie Civil, Ferrovial Construccion and Spie Batignolles Valerian , of which Icop is the appointed subcontractor.

The overall contract has a value of 438 million euros (plus VAT), and concerns the construction of 6.7 kilometers of tunnels and the construction of the Saint-Quentin Est, Satory and Versailles Chantiers stations, as well as eight service wells.

The preparatory works will begin at the end of next summer, followed by the construction works at the beginning of 2023. The ICOP has been appointed subcontractor for the consortium and will carry out 50 per cent of all foundation works which total 54 million. EUR.

Icop has already carried out interventions on Lines 14, 15 and 16.
