Some Ukrainians will be charged a new pension – who cares

The Ukrainian government has decided to change the conditions for calculating pensions for certain categories of the population.

In particular, we are talking about working foster parents, parents-educators of family-type orphanages and foster parents. This was reported in the press service of the Ministry of Social Policy.

What will change

“The financial support of working foster caregivers, parents-educators of family-type orphanages, foster parents will be taken into account when assigning a pension to them,” – reported in the department.

So now a single social contribution will be charged and paid for these people, regardless of whether they work or not.

At the same time, ERUs were previously paid only for non-working educators and foster parents.

“Thus, when assigning a pension to foster caregivers, parents-educators of family-type orphanages, foster parents, the amounts of monetary allowance received by them will be taken into account,” – noted in the Ministry of Social Policy.

The press service also added that strengthening the social protection of these categories is important now, since their services will be required in the war and post-war period.

Some Ukrainians have increased pensions

Earlier, Segodnya was told that in April, after the recalculation of payments, pensions for family members of the victims increased on average for 1.5 thousand UAH.

Consequently, the minimum guarantee for pensions for family members of a deceased serviceman is at least 7800 UAHwhen it comes to parents and spouses, as well as children – 6100 UAH for each.

The Ministry of Social Policy noted that the increase also applies to the families of the victims, who were part of the volunteer formations of the territorial community.
