Fuel is brought to Ukraine from the USA: what will happen to gasoline prices in the near future

Participants of the Ukrainian fuel market have already contracted 72,000 tons of gasoline and 253,000 tons of diesel on the European market, in addition, our gas stations already have American fuel.

The Minister of Economy Yulia Sviridenko spoke about this during the telethon.

According to her, a sharp rise in prices because of this is not worth waiting for, since the current state regulation of prices is not going to be canceled.

Sviridenko also said that Ukraine monthly needs the following volumes of fuel:

• 100 thousand tons of gasoline;
• 250 thousand tons of diesel fuel;
• 70 thousand tons of liquefied gas.

The minister assured that the situation with the deficit would level off every week, since Ukraine had already agreed to increase the transit of fuel through Poland from 60 to 250 thousand tons per month.

The fight against the shortage will be helped by customs clearance of fuel at the border without a queue and the abolition by the Polish side of the mandatory permit for the entry of tank trucks from Ukraine.

“We will try to make the resource available to all Ukrainians who need it,” the minister promised.

Fraudsters and scarcity

When the country was engulfed by a lack of fuel, the scammers decided to use this as a chance once again cash in on the Ukrainians.

One of the most popular scams is buying gasoline coupons “from hand”, which turn out to be false or no longer valid.

Also, naive drivers are often sold gas condensate with bioethanol impurities, which in large quantities can even ruin the engine.
