Stock Exchange: Moscow closed positive (+ 0.8%), ruble up

Exports to Russia collapse, energy imports fly (ANSA)

(ANSA) – MILAN, MAY 18 – Closing up for the fourth consecutive session for the Moscow Stock Exchange. The Moex index gained 0.87% to 2,445 points. The ruble also closed higher: the exchange rate in the evening is at 64.3 rubles for one dollar, compared to 65.5 the day before, and at 67.4 for one euro, compared to 69 the previous day.

Among the stocks listed in Moscow, in no particular order, the energy sector, with gains for Gazprom (+ 2.3%), Rosneft (+ 2.3%), not for Novatek (-0.6%) and Lukoil (-0 , 3%), badly the big banks, such as Sberbank (-2%) and Vtb Bank (-0.6%). Good in the Severstal steel industry (+ 2.6%), down in Polymetal mining (-0.4%). In negative among the Aeroflot airlines (-0.9%), strong X5 (+ 2.7%), the largest retailer of food products in the country. (HANDLE).
