Closing little changed for Piazza Affari, which in the final limits the decline of the day to 0.09% to 24,065 points, between exchanges that are always thin even if above the 2.1 billion euro countervalue, like last Friday.
The differential between German BTPs and Bunds remained stable at 195 basis points, as at the opening, with the annual yield on ten-year bonds down by 6.2 points to 2.895%.
The Milanese list did better than the others in Europe thanks to the leap marked by Diasorin (+ 2.25%), Saipem (+ 2.18%), Banco Bpm (+ 2.17%) and Prysmian (+ 2.03%) ). Fineco (+ 1.43%), Unicredit (+ 1.36%), Tim (+ 1.15%) and Nexi (+ 1.02%) are up above the percentage point. The list of increases closes with Banca Generali (+ 0.74%), Bper (+ 0.63%), Generali (+ 0.56%), after the best quarterly of analysts’ estimates, Mediolanum (+0.51 %), Recordati (+ 0.36%) and Snam (+ 0.26%). Stm and Ferrari stopped just above parity (+ 0.03% both).
The rest of the basket fell, with Amplifon (-2.98%) at the bottom, slightly preceded by Tenaris (-2.58%), which suffered from the initial slide of crude oil (Wti -3.5% just above 105 dollars a barrel) in the aftermath of US weekly inventories which rose beyond estimates. A tension that eased after the start of Wall Street, a price that, even if at the end of the session, settled, turning positive above 107 dollars a barrel (Wti + 0.6%).
Difficult session also for Campari (-2.1%), Cnh (-1.9%), Iveco (-1.56%) and Hera (-1.41%). Moncler reduced the initial decline (-1.37%), while Mediobanca and Italgas (-1.03% both) lost around one percentage point. Pirelli decreased slightly (-0.63%), Eni (-0.33%) and Stellantis (-0.27%), both of them better than their European rivals, did not move much. (HANDLE).
