(ANSA) – ROME, MAY 23 – New leaders at Fondo Italiano di Investimento Sgr, where Barbara Poggiali, with a long managerial career and experiences, among other things, in RCS, Poste and Leonardo was appointed president while Davide Bertone, for over twenty years in Mediobanca, he holds the position of Director and CEO from the Board of Directors on 20 May. The Shareholders’ Meeting of the Fund, attended by a majority of CDP Equity, and for the remaining shares by Intesa Sanpaolo, UniCredit, ENPAM Foundation, ENPAIA Foundation, ABI, Banco BPM and BPER Banca, has in fact appointed the new Board of Directors, which will remain in office for the next three years.

The new Board of Directors is now composed of Barbara Poggiali, Davide Bertone, Ilaria Bertizzolo; Gianluca Brancadoro; Enrico Canu; Esedra Chiacchella; Ines Gandini; Gaia Ghirardi; Massimiliano Mastalia; Nicoletta Montella; Giorgio Piazza; Domenico Pimpinella; Giovanni Sabatini. For the new CEO, Bertone: “the ecosystem of private capital solutions is an essential element for the development of the Italian medium-sized enterprise. FII has an institutional role and fundamental skills to play in the development and strengthening of the subjects and tools that make it up.
