What is Only Fans?

According to Wikipedia, OnlyFans is an online platform created in England by Chicago-based Ukrainian-American businessman Leonid Radvinsky. Registered members create content for which they receive money through subscriptions from fans.

The peculiarity of the content is that it is of erotic content. Very often, content creators are porn actors, although they allow amateurs to upload photos and videos. There are also no restrictions on candor. Its authors receive 80% of the profits, in fact, OnlyFans was praised for this in The New York Times, as the adult entertainment industry changes for the better.

“Tax on Google”

In June 2021, people’s deputies supported bill No. 4184, which obliges Internet giants operating in Ukraine to pay taxes to the state budget. At the end of the same month, Vladimir Zelensky signed this law on the taxation of electronic services for non-residents.

According to the law, foreign companies operating in Ukraine must pay 20% VAT. To do this, they need to register as VAT payers under a simplified procedure through a special electronic service. Only companies that receive more than UAH 1 million a year for their activities on the Internet should pay money to the state budget.

The document covers services for which Ukrainians pay money. We are talking about a subscription to platforms:

  • with video or cinema, music;
  • with paid apps, such as Google Play or the App Store;
  • paid features such as stickers, landline calls, etc.
