The statistics of booking hotels in the Crimea at the present stage looks deplorable. Although Crimea is preparing for a mass reception of tourists, hotels on the peninsula are only 50% booked for the summer, and the beaches, despite the good weather, are half empty.
This is reported by Moskovsky Komsomolets.
So, representatives of the hotel say that they “are in limbo.”
“Not only here, but also in Sochi and Anapa, no one will give you a full guarantee of safety,” they say.
The reasons for the shortage of tourists are called:
- geopolitical complication of the situation;
- difficulties with transport accessibility in the Crimea.
Therefore, the hotel business is forced to adjust prices downwards.
“If there are few residents, we attract as much as we can, including by reducing the cost of living. I will hint: the cost of living is now lower than usual,” – said an employee of one of the Crimean hotels.
Housing forcibly taken away in Crimea
In Crimea, the occupying authorities approved amendments to the Civil Code on the forced seizure of property from foreigners who committed “unfriendly” actions against Russia.
The deputies supported the legislative initiative unanimously.
According to the vice-speaker, the so-called. Peninsula State Council Alla Ponomarenko, this project will take away the ownership of property in Crimea, owned by “foreign states and foreign persons associated with foreign states, committing unfriendly actions against Russia, Russian legal entities and individuals.”
Recall that our citizens fleeing the war to the territory of the temporarily occupied Crimea, the occupation administrations of Russia confiscate Ukrainian passports and issue “certificates” that have no legal force.
