Ukraine: Cesvi and Brembo welcome refugees to Poland

(ANSA) – MILAN, MAY 26 – The Cesvi Foundation and the Brembo group have given life to the Safe Haven project to create a ‘hospitality hotel’ in Poland. The initiative makes it possible to host about 100 Ukrainian refugees at the Hotel Palace Europa in Lublin, a few kilometers from the border with Ukraine.

Brembo has decided to be alongside the Cesvi Foundation in the realization of this project which is aimed at Ukrainian women with newborn or very young children and people with disabilities.

Inside the structure, the people welcomed benefit from the services available to the hotel and all the goods necessary to try to reconstruct a daily life. The large number of rooms facilitates the creation of a small community, essential for supporting each other, communicating in the mother tongue and feeling more secure. The central location of the hotel also favors the connection to health and school facilities, support and assistance centers and the main transit stations of the city of Lublin.

“Those fleeing the war have already suffered enough. They need adequate care and deserve safe and dignified living conditions”, said Roberto Vignola, deputy director general of the Cesvi Foundation.

“We felt the duty to bring our concrete help to the Ukrainian population, with the desire to give priority to the most vulnerable”, says Cristina Bombassei of Brembo. (HANDLE).
