Restoring destroyed housing and building new homes for Ukrainians who lost their homes due to the war can take a long time and require large investments. Therefore, the authorities are considering the option of renting housing.

This was stated in a commentary to Economic Truth by the head of the President’s Office, Kyrylo Tymoshenko.

Market participants are involved in the development of the rental algorithm. Negotiations with government officials are already underway.

“We will consider all options”– said Kirill Timoshenko.

At the same time, the Office of the President does not refuse to build new housing and buy ready-made apartments. This is how the authorities want to solve the problems of Ukrainians who have been waiting in line for housing for years.

Housing for migrants

The state is already collecting data on lost housing. In addition to information about the condition of the building, it should be clarified whether the person has a place to live temporarily. At the same time, the destroyed buildings should be divided into categories:

  • completely destroyed;
  • in need of reconstruction;
  • are in need of overhaul.

Segodnya has already written about the concept of temporary but high-quality housing for IDPs proposed by the architects. We also talked about how much you can now buy an apartment in the vicinity of Kyiv.
