Stock Exchange: Milan closed higher (+ 1.22%), Saipem rally

Tourists from the US and the Gulf are back, Italian fashion recovers (ANSA)

(ANSA) – MILAN, MAY 26 – Piazza Affari closed up between thin exchanges for 1.7 billion euros in value, compared to more than 2 billion in the last 4 days. The Ftse Mib index gained 1.22% to 24,546 points, with the spread between German BTPs and Bunds down to 189.5 points and the annual yield of 5.8 basis points to 2.888%. Saipem held court for the entire session (+ 8.71%), which last Monday merged the shares in view of the 2 billion euro capital increase. Today the stock ran thanks to the buy recommendation from AlphaValue analysts. On the shields also Banca Generali (+ 4.16%), Pirelli (+ 3.46%), Nexi (+ 3.26%), Azimut (+ 2.79%) and Tenaris (+ 2.73%), after that the Rocca brothers, shareholders of the Group, were cleared by the Court of Milan as part of the investigation into the alleged bribes in Brazil against Petrobras. Brillante Moncler (+ 3.15%) together with Iveco (+ 3.09%), Ferrari (+ 3.06%), Azimut (+ 2.79%), Exor (+ 2.68%) and Stellantis (+ 2.47%).

Few minus signs, limited to Terna (-1.18%), Inwit (-0.29%), Atlantia (-0.18%) and Snam (-0.14%). Eni did well (+ 0.89%), driven by the rise in crude oil (Wti + 3.83% to 114.86 dollars a barrel), positive were the banks Bper (+ 1.23%), Unicredit (+ 0.99% ), Intesa (+ 0.91%) and Banco Bpm (+ 0.72%). Among the smaller capitalization stocks, Maire Tecnimont sprint (+ 9.72%), in the wake of Saipem’s leap, Pierrel (+ 7.36%) and Ovs (+ 7.22%), a minus sign for Alerion (- 8.7%), Algowatt (-3.82%) and Erg (-1.63%), active in renewables.
