In Poland, in the first two weeks of May, the number of vacancies for foreigners increased by 35-40%, and the shortage of personnel is getting worse.

This is reported in the analytical center of the employment agency Gremi Personal.

  • Food Industry;
  • trade;
  • logistics;
  • ecommerce.

For men, the number of offers has increased almost 20% however, there are fewer and fewer such workers.

“In the coming weeks, the shortage of personnel will increase. Enterprises will lack not only about 80-100 thousand Ukrainians who left to defend their country after the start of the war, but also hundreds of thousands of seasonal workers from Ukraine who will not come to Poland this year,” say analysts.

According to the director of the Gremi Personal recruitment department Anna Dzhobolda, the rates remain at the pre-war level, but with the start of the season salaries may rise in industries that involve heavy physical labor.

According to a survey by the Polish Statistics Office, every third company in the manufacturing sector named an obstacle to their work shortage of qualified workers.

Back in March and April, there were more unemployed male workers, since some Polish companies that had cooperated with Russian business before the war limited their activities, the first, of course, dismissed foreigners.

While some vacancies at Polish enterprises are filled by women, in particular refugees from Ukraine, however, more and more Ukrainian women are returning home and do not intend to work in a foreign country.

Ukrainians are hunted by scammers

In Poland Russian-speaking swindlers have become more activewho prey on Ukrainians forced to leave home because of the war.

The most popular scam is bank fraudsince with the start of a full-scale invasion, large Polish banks recruited Russian-speaking consultants to serve a large number of refugees.

Fraudsters took advantage of this and started making phone calls to newly arrived Ukrainians who had recently opened accounts in Polish institutions and pose as employees of a financial institution.

After that, they say that a payment in the amount of several thousand zlotys was made from their account and personal data is being explored as a victim, with which to empty the account.
