In small towns in Italy, you can buy a house for 1 euro. And all this is due to the fact that young people migrate to big cities, and many elderly Italians either left their homes for local authorities or their heirs, who do not want to maintain a second home, because they have to pay high taxes.

So, about 25 Italian municipalities make an offer to potential homeowners – house at a symbolic price of 1 euro.
What caused such a phenomenon?
