Ukrainian women are offered new vacancies in Poland – where you can get 40% more

Experts told how the Polish labor market adapts to new circumstances

In Poland, Ukrainian women are being offered “male” jobs. Thus, employers are trying to close “male” vacancies, the number of which has grown due to labor shortageas well as to give Ukrainian women the opportunity to find a job and earn money.

This is reported in the analytical center of the employment agency Gremi Personal.

First to adapt logistics industry – there, women are offered vacancies as pickers of goods in warehouses. In order to hire such workers, some warehouses reduce the weight of parcels to a comfortable level for women.

Ukrainian women are even sent to special schools, as the “high season” in the fields of logistics and trade begins in Poland and they need, for example, forklift operators.

“Previously, this work of the so-called karsts was performed only by men. Currently, women who left Ukraine to escape the war will be able to master this profession completely free of charge after a week-long course and receive the appropriate certificate,” says Anna Dzhobolda, director of the Gremi Personal recruitment department.

According to her, this is an opportunity for women to get a job with a salary. 40% higherthan for unskilled workers.

In addition, some food processing companies created a special schedule for Ukrainian womenso they can work in shifts and have time to take care of their children.

What will happen to the job market?

According to Gremi Personal forecasts, the number of vacancies for women will grow in the near future, only last week they became 10-15% more.

Without knowing the language, Ukrainian women will be able to earn about PLN 3400-3600 per month (UAH 23.5-25 thousand). You can get a job in the food industry, logistics warehouses and in the service sector.

Where are the workers missing?

We have previously reported that there is a growing shortage of personnel in Poland due to the fact that many Ukrainian men left to defend their country, and other seasonal workers will not come this year.

According to Gremi Personal, the demand for workers has grown the most in the following sectors:

  • food industry;
  • trade;
  • logistics;
  • electronic commerce.

The number of “male” vacancies has greatly increased – about 20% in a few weeks.
