Without borders and money: how Ukrainians can send a parcel from Poland, Germany and the Czech Republic for free

Every Ukrainian can take advantage of the opportunity to send parcels abroad for free

Since the beginning of the war on the territory of Ukraine, millions of Ukrainians had to leave their native country, their homes, leaving for most neighboring countries, such as Poland, Germany, Hungary, Moldova, etc. Many, in this regard, the question arises: how to save money on sending the necessary things to Ukraine.

“Today” will tell you about foreign services that provide such an opportunity, and will also mention other popular delivery services.

Let’s start with services in Poland, because it was there that the largest number of Ukrainian migrants left. So, according to visitukraine, the state operator of the country, similar to our Ukrposhta, Poczta Polska, has introduced a free package forwarding campaign on the condition:

  • up to 20 kg shipment to Ukraine;
  • the contents are listed as “humanitarian cargo”;
  • cost within 100 euros (1 per person).

Services in Germany

In Germany, the most popular service specializing in the delivery of international parcels deutsch Post, in which the state itself is a shareholder.

Speaking specifically about sending to Ukraine, the company does not insure them, but promises to do everything possible so that the package is delivered.

Delivery services in the Czech Republic

Česká pošta, the country’s national postal operator, announced on March 1 that sending parcels to Ukrainian addressees for Ukrainian refugees free of charge.

Services in Moldova

In Chisinau, Balti, Orhei, Causeni, Comrat, Cahul, Falesti, Floresti and Edinet opened a branch of our “Nova Poshta” (a list of branches can be found on their website).

Together with public organizations of Moldova, it also deals with centralized shipments humanitarian aid (to its reception centers in Ukraine) free of charge, and works with private parcels/letters.

Service for migrants

Settlers in the offices of “Nova Poshta” can receive their payments from the UN World Food Program.

To do this, when applying for help online, you will need to specify way to receive “New mail” and after that a special the code. With him you need to come to the nearest branch and follow these steps:

  • tell the operator that you need to receive a transfer from Western Union;
  • call this code;
  • show an identity document.
