The German international supermarket chain Lidl and the Polish brand Biedronka are looking for workers for the new tourist season in the most popular cities. Since the work is temporary, the store management offers various “buns” for employees.

“Today” will tell you what conditions the networks offer to their employees.

Who is Lidl looking for?

According to businessinsider, Lidl prefers employees who are already employed by the company and work in various Polish communes, encouraging their employees to move to tourist destinations for the summer season.

During such a business trip, the company will provide housing and, in addition to salary, a monthly bonus of PLN 600 gross.

The offer from Lidl covers 11 cities:

  • by the sea (Świnoujścia, Międzyzdrojów, Kamienia Pomorskiego, Kołobrzegu, Ustronia Morskiego, Darłowa, Ustki, Władysławowa);
  • in the mountains (Zakopanego, Sklarskiej Poręby and Kudowy Zdroju).

Who is Biedronka looking for?

The network also offers summer employment, but is recruiting new workers.

New employees will receive at least PLN 19.70 gross per hour of work. And their responsibilities will include:

  • display of goods;
  • disinfection and cleaning in the store;
  • customer service in the trading floor and at self-service checkouts;
  • baking bakery products.

At the same time, the management of Biedronka assures that for successful employment no need for a resume and detailed information about vacancies will appear on stands in stores in the near future.

Where are the workers missing?

We previously reported that there is a growing shortage of personnel in Poland due to the fact that many Ukrainian men left to defend their country, and other seasonal workers will not come this year.

According to Gremi Personal, the demand for workers has grown the most in the following industries:

  • food industry;
  • trade;
  • logistics;
  • electronic commerce.

The number of “male” vacancies has greatly increased – about 20% in a few weeks.
