Russian substitute for McDonald’s without a name showed a new one “creative” logo and started advertising it

The network of establishments that will replace McDonald’s in Russia has publicly demonstrated its new logo.
This was reported by the Russian media with reference to the press service of the company.
On the logo “import-substituting” fast food restaurants depict two stylized french fries sticks and an orange circle symbolizing a burger. The background color is green, which supposedly should be associated with the quality of products and service.

Stolen logo
After the new logo was unveiled, social media users exposed the Russians in another theft – it is very similar to the symbols of famous brands. The similarity with the Ukrainian network of gas stations WOG is especially noticeable. In fact, this is the same, only an inverted letter in a changed color.

Surprisingly similar to Russian “french fries and burger” on the logo of the popular record company Warner Music Group.

Social networks have already begun to joke that the new fast food logo from the Russian Federation is a combination of Warner Music Group with the flag of the Republic of Bangladesh:

The chain has already begun to advertise its logo, although its own name to replace McDonald’s has not yet been invented. Eight registered options are being worked on, including:
- “The same”;
- “Free checkout”;
- “It’s him”;
- “Exactly he”;
- “Compass”.
“Update” on the menu
We have already created new packaging design layouts for products. They are very reminiscent of burger wrappers from the American chain, but without some elements and with changed names: “Grandee” instead of “Royal”, “Fish Burger” instead of “Filet-o-fish”, “Grand de Luxe” instead of “Royal de Luxe” etc.

According to preliminary information, almost 200 establishments previously owned by McDonald’s are planned to open in Russia by the end of June. At the same time, a thematic application has already been posted in the AppStore, which is called “My burger”.
Hysteria in Russia
In May, McDonald’s officially announced the termination of its activities in Russia after 30 years of operation. The fast food chain was put up for sale.
Before Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, 850 McDonald’s restaurants operated in Russia, employing 62,000 people. After February 24, the establishments did not work, but the company continued to pay salaries to employees.
The final exit of the network from the Russian market was accompanied by a ban on the use of any logos, brands, names and menus of restaurants. The only thing that the company left for itself in Russia is the rights to the trademark.
The day after the announcement of the company, the Russians began to massively sell branded clothing and branded accessories with the logos of the American network. On sale was the full uniform of an employee of the establishment (T-shirt, trousers, cap, belt), as well as sweaters with inscriptions, hoodies, bags, panama hats and various accessories. Of course, there were some jokers who sold depreciated goods for 500 thousand – 1 million rubles.
Previously “Today” wrote that the oil giant Shell has already found a buyer for its network of gas stations in Russia and a plant in Tver. At the same time, due to the exit of foreign companies, Russian cars were left without important elements for the safety of passengers, so they decided to relax the requirements for the production of cars.
