While some drivers are already switching to electric cars due to fuel prices, the Cabinet of Ministers is proposing to exempt cars with electric motors, including hybrid ones, from taxation.

This was reported on the website of the Government quarter.

According to Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal, the relevant bill has already been submitted to the Verkhovna Rada.

“Within the framework of the Ukrainian Green Deal, this is both taking care of our ecology and cleaner air”the official noted.

Note that as of now the text of the draft on the website of the Verkhovna Rada has not yet been made public.

Electric cars are in short supply

Car market experts believe that the war and the lack of fuel in Ukraine could create another shortage. Sales of electric vehicles have skyrocketed, with showrooms selling non-gasoline cars in a week.

The shortage of electric cars can provoke not only the situation with gasoline. Russia continues to block Ukrainian seaports, and it was through them that most electric cars were imported into the country. There are almost no stocks left in the warehouses, and it is expensive to use alternative routes.

As the director of the information and analytical group Auto-Consulting explained Oleg Omelnitsky, most of these cars arrived in Ukraine from China through seaports. When there will be new deliveries, it is not known, because the companies do not know where to deliver, and also the cost of logistics is high.

Earlier we said that craftsmen in Japan have developed revolutionary tires for cars. We also wrote that a unique bus was presented in Poland.
