(ANSA) – MILAN, 14 JUN – Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio visited, together with the Minister for Innovation and Youth Policies of Kenya Joseph Mucheru, the construction site of the “Smart City” of Konza, the first sustainable technology hub in which The ICM-Impresa Costruzioni Maltauro group from Vicenza is also involved in construction.
Located seventy kilometers from the capital Nairobi, the “Smart City Konza” will extend over a total area of 2000 hectares. ICM, a note recalls, is taking care of the urbanization works to accommodate the first settlements necessary to stimulate the subsequent development phases, including the design and construction of 40 km of roads, parks, underground utilities, water purification systems, wastewater treatment plants, an automatic waste collection system and some public buildings such as police stations and firefighters.
In 2021 ICM archived a turnover of 454 million (+ 34%) and now “now aims for further consolidation in the three-year period 2022-2024” (ANSA).
