War prices: gas still on the rise with Gazprom cuts

(ANSA) – MILAN, 15 JUN – The effects of the war between Russia and Ukraine and the sanctions against Moscow keep gas in tension, the price of which, albeit at a slower pace on the eve, is gaining ground for the third consecutive session. The contract, traded in Amsterdam, reference for European methane, earns 2.6% at 99.65 euros per megawatt hour. The 40% cut in Gazprom’s flow in Nord Stream to Germany and the longer-than-expected closure, after a fire, of a liquefied natural gas export plant in the United States, was joined today by a 15% cut in supplies of the Russian giant to Eni.

Oil, on the other hand, is weak: the WTI drops 1.26% to 117.4 euros per barrel, Brent 1.1% to 119.8 in a wait-and-see market.

Among agricultural raw materials, durum wheat fell slightly to 1,142 dollars (-0.59%) and wheat at 1,061 dollars (-0.35%).
