Although the official dollar rate in Ukraine has been fixed since the beginning of the war with Russia, banks still do not have to limit their rates for selling cash currency.
According to data on the website of the Ministry of Finance, the average dollar exchange rate at the cash desks of banks on Wednesday, June 15. keeps at the level of 35-36.7 UAH/USD. – it’s almost the same as it was the day before.
What rate do banks offer directly:
- Privatbank offers the dollar exchange rate at the level of UAH 35-35.9;
- Oschadbank – UAH 34.7-35.8;
- Ukreximbank – UAH 33.5-35.3;
- Raiffeisen – 35.6-36.4 UAH;
- FUIB — 35-35.8 UAH.
How to store currency now?
According to economist and financial analyst Aleksey Kushch, the principle of storing savings does not need to be radically changed.
That is, keep the three-month supply of the family in hryvnias, and all surpluses in excess of this amount convert to dollars.
Avoid impulsive steps do not withdraw all your savings and convert them into dollars, despite the fact that the exchange rate may rise.
Earlier, the expert also said that in the fall, the jumps in the market rate of the dollar to 40 UAH/USD may well be. Kushch noted that the current course in the next six months will also be affected by 15% devaluation.
But below 30 UAH/USD the course is unlikely to returneven after the war. But this is not so bad, because a strong revaluation of the hryvnia could harm exporters and the economy.
