(ANSA) – ROME, JUN 16 – To fully grasp the opportunities of the path towards a Sustainable Sea Economy, the main players in the sector and institutions meet in the Gulf of Gaeta in the first Blue Forum Italia Network Summit. The event opens tomorrow, June 17, and will see two days of discussion in which, among others, the President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola, and the Foreign Ministers, Luigi Di Maio, of the Public Administration, Renato Brunetta, of the Agricultural, food and forestry policies, Stefano Patuanelli, and Ecological Transition, Roberto Cingolani, as well as important representatives of the military authorities, institutions, associations and businesses.

“The time has come to do our part, without exception”, said the president of the promoter, the Frosinone-Latina Chamber of Commerce and Assonautica Italiana and Si.Camera, Giovanni Acampora, in a note. The works will start from the sharing of the Blue Manifesto for a sustainable inclusive and innovative Economy of the Sea, an open document, inspired by the Assisi Manifesto, the Manifesto of the Decade of the Sea and the Blue Paper that embraces the whole sea system.

“The first Blue Forum Italia Network Summit – explains Acampora – is a national and European project that starts from Gaeta to sail throughout Italy with a very specific route.

Europe has launched a challenge to us and we have taken it up by making it our own: moving from blue growth to a sustainable sea economy “. (ANSA).
