Turnkey business from 2.4 thousand dollars: what Ukrainians can buy right now

The Ukrainian economy is steadily withstanding all the difficulties, and business is gradually recovering. An active market segment is micro-entrepreneurship.

The editors of Segodnya monitored the OLX website and found out what ready-made business Ukrainians can buy right now at a reasonable price and start their own business.

Draft beer shop

The owner of a draft beer store in Odessa urgently sells a business for $2,400 (UAH 71.1 thousand). The 27 sq.m room has 13 taps, coolers and other beer equipment. The store is furnished, with appliances.

In Kyiv, they offer to buy a machine for making coffee to go for $2,900 (86,000 UAH) or a ready-made coffee shop with seats for $3,900 (115,500 UAH) on a turnkey basis. The establishment will operate as a franchise chain serving customers since 2014.

The owner of a beauty salon in the Kyiv region is moving, so she decided to sell a ready-made business for $6,000 (UAH 175,000). It is located in a residential complex and has been operating for 5 years. There are two places for manicurists, three for hairdressers and one for eyelash extensions. The bonus is a developed page on Instagram and a client base.

In Odessa, an already operating pizzeria is being sold. The price of the business is $47.5 thousand (UAH 1.4 million). The room has been renovated by designer, it is furnished and equipped with appliances. The establishment is located on the first floor of a residential complex.

A line for the production of fuel briquettes Pini Key is urgently sold in Lutsk. The set includes thermal packaging equipment, kilns, video surveillance and a water well. Capacities allow to produce 600 kg of products per hour. The declared price is $90,000 (UAH 2.6 million).

Non-repayable grants for own business

The state also actively supports Ukrainians who are ready to develop their own business. The most enterprising will be provided with non-refundable grants in the amount of up to UAH 250,000 under the “єRobota” program.

In total, they plan to issue 20,000 grants to microentrepreneurs in a year. The scope of activity is unlimited – from tailoring to service stations and beauty salons. It is only necessary to develop a clear business plan and submit it along with the application for participation in the program through “Diya”.

Within two weeks, experts from Oschadbank and the State Employment Center will evaluate the business plan. If he meets the criteria of the program, then the money will be transferred to the applicant’s special bank account. They can only be used for their intended purpose – for equipment, rental of premises, raw materials, materials, etc.

The government has also launched two similar grant programs for farmers. An offer for IT and processing workers should appear in the near future.
