(ANSA) – MILAN, JUN 24 – Despite very volatile financial markets, with the MSCI World index down by more than 20% since the beginning of the year, equity funds in Italy have raised more than 2.5 billion euros. This was announced by Assogestioni.
The reversal of the main global monetary policies, with consequent pressure on interest rates, weighs on the collection of bond funds, negative by 3.3 billion in May. The net balance of the monthly collection of open-end funds is slightly negative (-370 million) for the first time since March 2020 as “the scenario of the still very volatile global markets, marked by the instability of the international geo-economic context”, explains the Italian association of asset management companies.
Assets managed by the sector at the end of May amounted to € 2,395 billion “due to the combined effect of deposits and the decline in markets”. (HANDLE).
