Services are not cheap: how much does it cost to treat teeth in Poland

Many Ukrainians, living in Poland, including since the beginning of the war, need to visit a dentist, and, accordingly, are interested in the cost of services. And the prices for these services, as you know, rather big.

However, as Ukrainian in Poland informs, migrants from Ukraine can use the services free of charge.

So, if you live in Poland legally, having issued a PESEL number, you can use the services of more than 300 dental offices where our citizens are treated free of charge. The owners of the clinic determine the list of such services on their own.

Patients are usually admitted for emergencies (for example, acute toothache).

What are the prices in private clinics?

The average prices for dental services in private clinics are as follows:

  • consultation – from 100 to 200 zlotys (700 – 1400 hryvnias);
  • filling from PLN 200 and above (from UAH 1400);
  • canal treatment will have to pay from PLN 350 (UAH 2450);
  • tooth extraction will cost a minimum in 200 zloty (1400 hryvnia)not counting x-rays, consultations, drugs, etc.;
  • teeth whitening – approx. 500 zlotys (3500 hryvnias).

You will have to pay separately for anesthesia and anesthesia during the procedures.

Help for Ukrainians in Poland

German charitable organization Diakonie Katastrofenhilfe will pay Ukrainians in Poland PLN 700 each (about 4.5 thousand UAH) and PLN 600 (3.8 thousand UAH) for every other member of the family.

The financial assistance program aims to support Ukrainians who fled to Poland due to Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

Those who apply for financial assistance will receive a monthly payment of PLN 700 per person and PLN 600 for each other family member. Payments will be made for at least three months.

It is noted that Ukrainians in particular need are in priority for financial assistance. At the same time, even registration for participation in the program does not guarantee receipt of payment.

Recall that public organizations decided to pay Ukrainians in Poland with a Pole’s card 1,500 zlotys (11,400 hryvnias) for an adult and 750 zlotys (5,700 hryvnias) for children.

Earlier, we said that Ukrainians who came to Poland from February 24, 2022 will be given 10,000 special free cards of the Biedronka retail chain for shopping.
