Uber or Bolt? What companies offer and where drivers earn the most

Many Ukrainians, being in search of a permanent job or additional income and being able to drive a car, are interested in working in taxi or delivery services.

“Today” will tell you how Uber and Bolt offer to earn money with them.

Employment conditions at Uber

As per job description the company’s official account on Work.ua, an Uber driver, for example, in the capital of Ukraine, offer salary within UAH 16–25 thousand Conditions: 70% of the cashier to the driver + bonuses from the number of trips. Work is being carried out on cars of 2019-2021 Hyundai Accent, Peugeot 301, Citroen C-Elysee.

Responsibilities assumed by the company:

• providing a fuel card, thanks to which you can refuel without limits and queues;
• payment for maintenance, consumables and repairs;
• conducting training, providing support during work.

Requirements from workers:

• neat appearance;
• possibly without work experience;
• driving experience from 3 years;
• age from 25 years;
• implementation of a plan;
• compliance with traffic rules.

Terms of employment at Bolt

According to the job description of the company’s official account on Work.ua, a Bolt driver in the capital of Ukraine is offered a salary of 20–25 thousand UAH. The work takes place on new cars SKODA SCALA 2020 1.6, Hyundai Accent 2021 1.6. MT – on gas, the company also offers a large selection of cars on the machine.

Responsibilities assumed by the company:

• 30+ orders per shift;
• free car repair in case of breakdown;
• free tire fitting;
• fast and free replacement of a car in case of breakdown within 30 minutes;
• 55% of the driver from the cash desk + 5% for the cash desk handed in on time);
• car in personal use – 50 km / day.

Requirements from workers:

• Desired work experience in a taxi or delivery service;
• possession of a driver’s license;
• driver experience from 2 years;
• careful driving;
• presentable appearance;
• car care, keeping it clean.

Who are employers looking for?

According to the analytics of the Opendatabot portal, the number of operating companies and the number of vacancies is increasing in Ukraine. Working specialties are most in demand, but this trend has not affected IT specialists.

For example, on the site “OLX Jobs” the number of vacancies for people of working professions has reached 41,978, although just a week ago there were 32,023 job search announcements.

In addition, already 71% of cafes and restaurants in the country have resumed their work. At the same time, rail ticket purchases are declining, and taxi bookings have resumed to pre-war levels.

In June, the number of registrations of new businesses, including individual entrepreneurs, also increased.
