(ANSA) – ROME, JUN 27 – The First-Cisl, in a study, denounces the abandonment of banks towards small businesses which, in the last 10 years, have suffered a 32% drop in loans. In a study prepared in collaboration with the Fiba Cisl Foundation, on the occasion of the World Day of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, it is emphasized that between 2011 and 2021 direct loans to small businesses decreased by 32%. This is “a triple drop compared to that recorded for the total number of residents in Italy net of financial institutions (-10.9%)”. For the general secretary of the union Riccardo Colombani it is a “serious problem and politics can no longer ignore it” in a country of small businesses like Italy. The phenomenon, he stresses, was also affected by the “flight of the banks from the territories”. (HANDLE).
