(ANSA) – ROME, JUN 28 – From July 1st to September 15th, the Plan to reduce construction sites on the road and motorway network that the Ministry of Sustainable Infrastructures and Mobility (Mims) has agreed with Anas and the motorway operators has started. This was announced by Mims with a press release explaining that in particular, work will be progressively suspended during the summer months on the roads of national interest and on the motorways, while the rescue personnel and information channels will be increased in order to minimize inconvenience to motorists.

The implementation of the Plan, reads the note, “will lead to a progressive decrease in construction sites up to 80% compared to those originally planned, allowing the use of the entire carriageway and improving traffic. For construction sites affected by maintenance interventions Ordinary, flexible management is also envisaged, which allows the concessionaire to close them quickly in the event of queues. Scheduled maintenance will resume regularly after 15 September “.

“Launched on the initiative of Minister Enrico Giovannini – reads the note from Mims – the discussion table opened in recent months with the managers made it possible to evaluate possible critical situations in advance, identify alternative solutions and carry out a planning of construction sites for maintenance activities and adaptation, providing for its suspension in cases that have a particular impact on traffic during periods of increased traffic, in particular on weekends and during days of high automobile mobility “.
