On June 29 and 30, in the last days before the cancellation of “zero customs clearance”, the subdivisions of the Gorodok customs post will work in an extended mode.

According to the press service of the Lviv customs, we are talking about the customs clearance department No. 2 in Gorodok and the customs clearance department No. 4 in the village of Zimna Voda.

Both departments will work until 23:00, that is, before the start of the curfew in the Lviv region.

According to customs officials, at the end of June, huge queues of cars formed in front of the checkpoints for entry into Ukraine. Citizens are trying to have time to import “Euro-plates” under a simplified taxation system.

To reduce the waiting time in queues, a number of other temporary changes have also been introduced:

  • transport will be allowed to enter the territory of Ukraine at all automobile checkpoints;
  • at the points “Krakovets – Korchevaya” and “Rava-Russkaya – Grebennoye” the number of customs officers was increased.

Cancellation of benefits

On June 21, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine supported bill No. 7418, about which many argued before. 234 people’s deputies voted for the return of duties and taxation of VAT on imported goods and customs clearance of cars.

The changes will come into effect on July 1, 2022. The law was supported in two readings at once, they returned taxation for goods imported by single tax payers of the first, second and third groups, as well as for enterprises that do not pay import duties.

Customs statistics show that the monthly loss of revenues to the budget amounted to UAH 3 billion and UAH 0.5 billion, respectively.

The main feature of the abolition of taxation was the “zero customs clearance” of vehicles from abroad. Now this possibility has been canceled for almost everyone. During the period of the law, more than 119,000 cars were imported into Ukraine without paying customs duties and excise taxes, which caused the budget to receive less than UAH 13 billion.

At the same time, Law No. 7418 exempts those who acquire ownership of cars equipped exclusively with electric motors (one or more) from paying the fee for compulsory state insurance.

Segodnya wrote earlier that they want to simplify the customs clearance procedure in Ukraine and make it possible in a few clicks online in the Action application, and also said that combatants and war veterans could be weakened for the import of Euroblades.
