Fast food chains in the Russian Federation are gradually replacing popular Western drinks with imports. In particular, you can no longer find Coca-Cola or Pepsi in Burger King.

According to visitors to the establishments in social networks, the menu has been updated and now mainly local analogues are offered from drinks.

The assortment includes the products of “Baikal”, “Duchess”, “Tarhun”. On tap, they sell only Lipton green iced tea, and for the most “tight” customers – plain water.

Local at the price of imported

Burger King fast food establishments are not the only ones in the Russian Federation that are gradually changing their product range to local ones. Previously, analogues of Western drinks appeared in the permanent menu of KFC and McDonald’s analogue – “Tasty – and that’s it.”

Drinks are sold in cups of 0.4-0.5 liters, as well as 0.8 and 1 liters. At the same time, the prices also “pleasantly” surprised the visitors of fast food, because in fact they do not differ from the cost of normal Western drinks – you will have to pay 120-150 rubles (60-80 UAH) for one glass.

Russians actively share new experience in social networks. According to users, the imported “Duchess” has a taste of beer, and in “Baikal” you can feel the “iron of running water”, and in general it is “slurry” with “chemicals”, which is “impossible to drink.”

Representatives of the fast food chain convince Russian journalists that not all establishments have changed the menu. They say that some restaurants simply did not have other raw materials, and there is no understanding of how they will continue to work.

However, the population of the Russian Federation notices innovations in an increasing number of Burger Kings – in Moscow, Rostov and other large cities. Local restaurateurs are also convinced that consumers will not perceive the products of the Russian Chernogolovka as a normal replacement for foreign drinks.

McDonald’s is returning to Ukraine?

After the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, the McDonald’s restaurant chain suspended its activities in Ukraine. After lengthy negotiations, there is hope that the establishments will open their doors again, but will work in a different way.

According to the head of one of Kyiv’s McDonald’s restaurants, they may open as early as August. However, this will only happen if the company agrees on all security issues.

The director of the Ukrainian branch of McDonald’s, Yulia Badritdinova, noted that the network is updating security protocols, in particular, they check that there is a shelter near each establishment. During the signal “air raid” the institution will suspend work and will not work until the end of the alarm.

They are also working on restoring the supply chain – companies are working, but there are problems with logistics, because the infrastructure has been destroyed. Some products may need to be purchased from other countries.

Segodnya used to tell how “terrorist sushi” is being sold in Russia, and also wrote why their own people are threatening the “creative” creators of the name and logo of the updated Russian chain with court.
