(ANSA) – TURIN, 04 JUL – In the first six months of 2022 the production of Stellantis is down by 13.7% compared to the same period in 2021, but compared to the pre-Covid period, therefore to 2019, the overall loss of volumes is 22.8%.

The decline – due to the lack of semiconductors – means that 2022 is prefigured as the fifth consecutive year of decline with a loss between 200,000 and 220,000 cars, “as if an entire large plant of the group was stopped for a year”. The data were illustrated in Turin by the national secretary of the Fim Cisl Ferdinado Uliano who asked the company “a meeting in September on the implementation of the plan, with a specific passage in the ministerial” to secure establishments, institutions and employment. .

Between cars and commercial vans in the first six months of the year 351,890 units were produced against 407,666 in 2021, with a slight increase of 2.1% for cars and a sharp decline of 37.2% for commercial vehicles (compared to to 2019 -18.8% for cars and -31% for commercial vehicles). The heaviest situations are found in Melfi (-17%) and Sevel (-37.2%), the Italian factories that have always contributed most to the overall growth in volumes. In the other car production plants, on the other hand, there is a positive figure compared to the first half of 2021, largely due to the most recent production launches. The volume growth of the 500e continues in Mirafiori, while the entry into production of the Maserati Grecale and the Alfa Romeo Tonale give a boost to Cassino and Pomigliano. The positive performance of the Modena plant continues with the Maserati MC20. (HANDLE).
