In May, draft law No. 7356 was submitted to the Verkhovna Rada, which provides for fines for violating the curfew and the blackout regime. It is currently under review by BP.
The Ministry of Justice of Ukraine told what amounts are provided for in the project for various violations.
Fines reach several thousand hryvnias
According to the text of the bill, stay during a certain period of the day during martial law in the streets and other public places or traffic without special passes and certificates will be punished by a fine in the amount of 10 to 30 tax-free minimum incomes of citizens. That is from 170 to 510 UAH
If the person violates the blackout mode, he may be punished with a fine of 170 to 340 UAH If this is done by an official, then the amounts will increase as follows: from 425 to 850 UAH
If these violations are repeated, the fines will be as follows:
- from 850 to 1700 UAH;
- for officials – from UAH 1700 to UAH 3400.
As added in the Ministry of Justice, according to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Denys Monastyrsky, the curfew is not a whim of the authorities, but a necessary security measure.
