In some settlements, it will not be possible to resume centralized supplies until the end of this year, that is, until the start of the new heating season.

Prime Minister Denys Shmygal spoke about this at the final press conference in Lugano, Switzerland.

According to the official, after Russian shelling and bombing, some district heating facilities will have to be rebuilt from scratch.

At the same time, Shmyhal assured that the Cabinet of Ministers has already begun preparations for the next heating season, which will be super heavy. Work started about a month ago.

“Several hundred boiler houses are broken, lost. We understand that this is a risk for cities and towns. We undertook to restore them and we understand that we will restore them,” the Prime Minister said.

Shmyhal also said that the government had created a reserve fast modular boiler rooms on different types of fuel, such devices can be deployed within a week. In particular, a stock of special generators for electricity and a stock of purifiers for drinking water has been created.

The prime minister stressed that even in the worst case, all procedures are prescribed and agreed with local governments.

Heating season 2022/2023

Previously, experts said that next winter will indeed be very difficult, perhaps even the most difficult for the entire period of independence.

Aleksey Chernyshev, head of the Ministry of Regional Development, promised that heat tariffs would not change, but we should all get used to living with open windows in winter.

According to him, the temperature in the house should fluctuate within 18-20 degreeslike in developed European countries.

Oleg Popenko, Chairman of the Union of Utilities Consumers, also noted that this year both Ukraine and the EU experiencing a certain shortage of gasso you need to prepare for the cold already now.
