From time to time, different situations can happen to drivers when important documents are lost, etc., and people do not know where to turn to solve such problems. For example, license plates can be lost under various circumstances.

On the portal of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, they explained how to return the numbers and what documents are needed for this.

What do we have to do

License plates can be stolen or damaged for various reasons. For example, during an all-out war, some drivers lost their license plates due to the fighting. However, you can return them at the service centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

You can apply to any center, and you need to submit the following documents:

  • passport of a citizen of Ukraine (if you provide an ID-card without information about the registration of a place of residence in a contactless electronic medium, then a certificate of registration of a place of residence must be submitted together with the passport);

Instead of a passport, you can submit one of these documents: temporary certificate of a citizen of Ukraine, permanent residence permit, temporary residence permit, refugee certificate, certificate of a person in need of additional protection, certificate of a person who has been granted temporary protection.

  • identification code of the owner of the vehicle;
  • vehicle registration certificate;
  • in case of theft, a certificate of loss of license plates issued by the National Police Department;
  • in case of loss – a written explanation of the circumstances of the loss of the document.

If the numbers were lost not by an individual, but by a legal entity, then an act of an internal investigation should also be submitted. In the end, the vehicle must be submitted for expert inspection.

After that, the administrator of the service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs enters information into the database of the AIS “License Plate” and re-registers the vehicle. Instead of lost or unusable license plates, a new registration certificate and license plates are issued from the application of the owner or his representative.

Found license plates after the issuance of new ones are considered invalid and are handed over to the service centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

What will happen to the gasoline crisis in August

We’ve told you before that drivers shouldn’t be complacent about the easing of the gas crisis. According to Sergei Kuyun, director of the A-95 Consulting Group, even such an improvement does not mean that the crisis will no longer deepen.

The reason is that Harvest continues from August to October in Ukraine. And when it starts, the load on the transport infrastructure will increase. Besides the country is at war, and unpredictable factors can also strongly influence the gasoline crisis. The expert stressed that the Russian enemy keeps our oil infrastructure “at gunpoint”. In particular, fresh attacks on oil refineries have recently followed. And it is impossible to predict whether they will again.

Segodnya also wrote about the limits at gas stations UPG, WOG, BRSM-Neft and OKKO. We have also developed a test for drivers and not only that will allow you to test your knowledge of traffic rules in a quick and fun way.
