On the evening of July 6, Turkey released the Russian ship Zhibek Joli. It was on this ship that the stolen Ukrainian grain was taken from Berdyansk.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, the products were taken to the Turkish port of Karas.

“Thanks to the prompt intervention of the relevant Ukrainian authorities, this ship was unable to unload the stolen goods and was detained,” – explained in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Turkish side was sent a request for the arrest of both the vessel and the cargo. However, on the other side of the Black Sea, the appeal was ignored.

The Ukrainian government and international partners have condemned the criminal actions of Russia and demand that Turkey clarify the situation and conduct an investigation. The Turkish Ambassador to Ukraine was invited to a conversation at the Foreign Ministry.

Questionable Assurances

At the end of June, the Turkish Foreign Ministry said that they were serious about the situation with the illegal export of grain by Russia from Ukraine. Official Ankara assured that it would not allow the import of stolen goods into its territory.

The head of the ministry, Mevlut Cavusoglu, publicly assured that he did not support the sale of stolen Ukrainian goods on international markets. However, their investigation “did not confirm” that the grain that the Russians were carrying was from Ukraine.

Despite official assurances from Turkish authorities, Scheme journalists have found evidence to the contrary. The ships of infidels are recorded by satellites and from the photographs one can understand that Ukrainian grain is systematically transported from Crimea to Turkish ports.

The identified accompanying documents for the products indicate the Crimean origin of the goods. Grain is loaded in the Sevastopol port “Avlita”, where it is brought from the temporarily occupied territories, in particular, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions.

Earlier, the Segodnya website showed how Russians in the occupied territories steal Ukrainian wheat, and wrote how they plan to export Ukrainian grain during the war.
