In the temporarily occupied Mariupol, Russian occupiers are operating and directing their formation, who have already reached the shops.

According to the press service of the Mariupol City Council, sky-high prices were set for hygiene items.

“People don’t have jobs, money or humanitarian aid. At the same time, they see the most necessary things on the shelves that they simply cannot buy”– noted in the message.

The locals are convinced that this is another mockery of the Russian invaders over the residents of Mariupol, who survive in inhuman conditions. And the “liberators” created such conditions for them.

The published photos show that the usual dishwashing detergent is sold for 108 UAH (in the territory controlled by Ukraine, the price is 30 UAH). A jar of shampoo costs UAH 185, while the normal price is around UAH 60. Packing sponges for washing dishes – 71 UAH, and under normal conditions – 27 UAH.

Worst of all, basic hygiene products are also sold at exorbitant prices. For a package of baby diapers, they set a price of 1680 UAH, while similar products usually cost 500-700 UAH. Women’s pads were estimated at almost 100 UAH. for a few pieces, and on the shelves of supermarkets in Ukraine they can be bought for 37 UAH.

The Mariupol city council showed how the occupiers sell ordinary goods to the local population for three times the price.

Noticeable price difference

Mariupol is not the only territory occupied by the Russian Federation where the invaders charge sky-high prices for ordinary goods. In the unrecognized terrorist organization of the LPR in the territory of the temporarily occupied Lugansk region, the cost of products was 40% higher than before.

According to the head of the Lugansk regional military administration, Sergei Gaidai, the monitoring refutes the myths of Rospropaganda about the “sweet life” in the “people’s republic.” The following increase in the cost of products from the invaders was recorded:

  • potatoes – by 45.44%;
  • sunflower oil – by 44.95%;
  • onion – by 44.47%;
  • chicken eggs – by 42.79%;
  • carrots – by 39.99%;
  • poultry (chicken carcass) – by 39.36%;
  • pork – by 31.99%;
  • beets – by 29.14%;
  • pasta – by 22.34%.

Segodnya wrote earlier how much it costs to rebuild Mariupol after large-scale destruction and shelling by the Russian Federation, and also said that the Russians are planning to rob and looters in Ukraine on an industrial scale.
