Stock Exchange: Asia closed mixed, recession risks are assessed

(ANSA) – MILAN, 08 JUL – Asian stock exchanges close with investors assessing the risks of a global recession.

In the spotlight the hypothesis of a strong stimulus to the local economy by Beijing as well as the possibility that the US will remove some tariffs on Chinese goods. The theme of the central bank rate hike and the new wave of covid-19 infections continue to hold sway.

Tokyo is positive (+ 0.1%). On the exchange rate, the yen strengthened against the dollar at 135.64 and against the euro at 137.94. With negotiations still in progress, China is down with Shanghai (-0.1%), Shenzhen (-0.2%). Upward Hong Kong (+ 0.3%), Seoul (+ 0.7%) and Mumbai (+ 0.4%).

On the macroeconomic front, industrial production from Italy and the wages index, unemployment rate and new non-agricultural employees from the United States. (HANDLE).
