Italgas: Gallo, on a new level there is great interest from investors

Work, Soumahoro:

(ANSA) – MILAN, 08 JUL – There is great interest in the new “industrial plan, in particular on the front of our vision of energy transition”. Thus the CEO of Italgas, Paolo Gallo, conversing with ANSA about the new industrial plan, with the next stage of the roadshow scheduled for July 27 in Chicago.

“The main attention – he adds – comes from foreign investors. The majority of our institutional investors are in the Anglo-Saxon area (United Kingdom, USA and Australia), then we also have some important ones in Europe, apart from our investors of reference”.

The path traced by the European Commission with RePowerEu to “free ourselves from Russian gas – continues Gallo – is very strongly integrated with Italgas’ new strategic plan” of 8.6 billion investments. A very important part of the plan concerns energy efficiency with 340 million investments of which two thirds for acquisitions and one third for organic growth. The goal is to create a “major Italian player that will be able to acquire a market share of 6%”.

Meanwhile, the closing for the acquisition of the Greek Depa Infrastructure is approaching. “I think – concludes Gallo – that if it is not before the holidays it will arrive soon after. Let’s say we are here now, this long three-year marathon is about to end”.
