Stock Exchange: Milan weak with Europe, Autogrill on takeover bid prices

(ANSA) – MILAN, 11 JUL – First session of the week negative for the Milan Stock Exchange: the Ftse Mib index closed down by 0.95% to 21,567 points, the Ftse All share down by 0.96% at an altitude of 23,623.

But all the equity markets of the Old Continent recorded a decline, in line with Wall Street weighed down by quarterly and inflation: the heaviest stock market was that of Frankfurt, which lost 1.4%, followed by Amsterdam (-0 , 7%), Paris (-0.6%) and Madrid, which lost 0.3%. London was flat compared to the close on Friday, while Moscow lost 2.7% in the final with the Moex index in rubles, while it rose by 0.8% with the RTSI expressed in dollars.

The euro ended the day on the European electronic markets swaying around 1.007 against the dollar, after hitting a low of 1.0056 during the session, with the single European currency not trading on par against the greenback for almost twenty years.

Gas price down in Amsterdam: methane closed the session at € 164, down 6%, while the spread between 10-year BTPs and German Bunds increased to 196 basis points compared to 193 at the start. However, tension on European government bonds generally decreased, with the final yield on the Treasury product at 3.199%.

In this context, in Piazza Affari, Autogrill closed the price of Dufry’s takeover by 7.4%, with Mps down by more than five points after Friday’s attempted rebound.

Bper and Iveco were also weak (-4%), with Banco Bpm losing three and a half percentage points.

On the other hand, Saipem did well, with an increase of 5.2% to 3.78 euros on the last day of the option offer for the two billion euro capital increase. Terna was also positive, with a final increase of 1.5%. (HANDLE).
