War prices: US oil below 100, gas flies to London

Beach holidays, turnover of 31 billion as in pre-Covid era (ANSA)

(ANSA) – MILAN, JUL 13 – The tension on the price of gas continues with the stop for maintenance of the Nord Stream gas pipeline. On the square in Amsterdam natural gas is traded at 181.1 euros per MWh for contracts on August (+ 4.92%), while in London the jump is 16.79% to 2.85 pounds per Mbtu, the British thermal unit. Fractional rise for crude oil (Wti + 0.45% at 96.29 dollars a barrel and Brent + 0.38% at 99.89 dollars a barrel) which remains below 100 dollars in the aftermath of the unexpected increase in inventories US weeks according to the API (American Petroleum Institute) and awaiting the data released today by the EIA (Energy Information Administration).

The lower Chinese demand is holding back the prices of iron (-0.97% to 714 dollars a ton) and steel (-2.63% to 3,892 dollars a ton) while gold rises by 0.2% to 1,729 dollars the ounce. Soft wheat (+ 0.18% to 815.75 dollars in the contractual unit of 5 thousand bushels) and hard wheat (+ 0.29% to 870.25 dollars) (ANSA).
