(ANSA) – ROME, JUL 13 – The regasification vessel will be put into operation at the Piombino quay as soon as possible and for a period not exceeding three years, in order to guarantee national energy security starting from 2023. At the same time Snam will identify an alternative site that allows its use for a longer period. The Mite makes it known. In the afternoon a meeting was held at the Ministry to reach an agreement on the matter, with the ministers Roberto Cingolani and Mariastella Gelmini, the governor of Tuscany Eugenio Giani, the CEO of Snam Stefano Venier and representatives of Palazzo Chigi Antonio Funiciello and Francesco Giavazzi.
Antonio Funiciello is the head of the Cabinet of Palazzo Chigi and Francesco Giavazzi the economic advisor. Governor Giani is also extraordinary commissioner for the regasification plant.
